Leah Griffith Boyce holds her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. As the featured portrait artist in USAToday, September 28, 2001, weekend edition, she gained national recognition for her work. The article, "Portraits for Posterity, and a Few Thousand Bucks: Commissioning a Painting is a Brush with Greatness," reports the growing popularity of portraiture in America. Boyce is shown painting a client, from life, in her studio. Wendy McCormick, a recent client, is pictured in her living room in front of the portrait Boyce created of her.

Leah Griffith Boyce is an artist whose greatest passion is expressed through portraiture, defined both in painting and sculpture. Her portraits display a remarkable level of depth and realism. Gifted with a rare ability to capture a likeness in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, she is able to bring the personality of her subject to the fore in each museum quality work of art, resulting in portraiture as unique as the person she portrays.

In addition to her formal education, the artist has done intensive and continuing research into the artistic methods employed by the great masters of the past. Her independent research has taken her to such world renowned institutes as the Musee du Louvre, and the Musee D’Orsay in Paris; The British Museum, The National Portrait Gallery and the Tate Gallery in London; the Vatican Museum in Rome; the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the National Gallery in Dublin, the Mousio Akropoli in Athens, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Frick Collection in New York; The National Gallery of Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Freer Gallery of Art, the National Museum of Women in the Arts and The National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC; the Art Institute of Chicago; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Cleveland Museum of Art. The artist has devoted years to the study of art, enriching her knowledge of the finest works known to mankind. Leah Griffith Boyce invests this world of knowledge in every piece of artwork she creates.

The artist’s works include a posthumous portrait of world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright and a portrait of nationally known author and Circus World Museum Great Circus Parade founder C.P. "Chappie" Fox.
